HANAHAKI

Roy the Unicorn-Boy has worked for Cesar’s family since he was a child, as a companion and later servant for Cesar. Their close friendship eventually develop into a passion – At least for Roy.

However, he could never bring himself up to confess, scared of his and his family reactions. But bottling up those feelings for so long made him sick, as he started to cough out his feeling in the form of flower petals.

Characters

Air-headed, always careful and overly worried. Very self-conscious and anxious. Can’t keep secrets or hide his feelings.                                  A clumsy air-head without a care in the world. Is the sole heir of a rich family. Wants to be a bad-boy but it’s a complete cinnamon roll.

About:

Point and click-ish, mostly just narrative. . And gay. Very gay. Inspired by the fictional disease Hanahaki-byo.

I started it with a passion and planned on something longer and with multiple endings, but I’m not sure if I want to keep working on it now. As it is, it has one ending and should be around 10-20 minutes. Also canva is a wonderful app and I will protect it.

a very cute games !! found this on accident whilst searching for hanahaki content and it did not dissapoint !!
the story is adorable, and works well even without much context for the world and settings. the ending is sweet and fits the overall aesthetic.

one part that truly caught me off-guard was the garden scene with the forget-me-nots. it felt very real, and kinda cemented the situation  of the game.

overall, a short and sweet game i can definetly recommend

Hi.

I really loved this game. Me and my pal have been hunting around for really sincere and personal visual novels, and this really fits the bill. This game really spoke to us. Neither of us are gay, (I'm pretty sure) but man, we sure empathized. The game was adorable, and also emotionally painful and trying at parts... in all, just a great ride.

Only constructive feedback would be the ending... Maybe something a little more climactic, like a final piece of artwork or something... or maybe more locations? Regardless, we really loved it. Please keep making games! You got a new follower today!
